Commonwealth Cemetery. - Photo By: Babak
Tehran Commonwealth Cemetery situated in Dowlat Street. Here lay the remains of soldier who died during World War II in Iran. Most of them had originally an Asian decent such as Indian and Chines with few British soldier, but they mostly had British Nationality or they were working with the Alleys. Interestingly there were three Dutch people buried here as well, but they were all from Chines decent. I took this picture because this was the only headstone not standing upright. But don't worry it was a very green and peaceful cemetery and the British Embassy and other European Embassies donate money for its maintenance. Photo By: Babak.
